Summary Cultural Diversity report published Multiple Narratives : Towards a Cultural Diversity Action Plan for Museums, Libraries & Archives in the South West MLA South West commissioned consultants Laura Lang and Adam Jeanes in September 2005 to undertake research to inform the development a Cultural Diversity Action Plan for the sector. The brief included reviewing key government policy themes relating to cultural diversity, the equalities profile of the South West, the direction and focus of the Museums Libraries and Archives Council and the diversity work of the other MLA Regional Agencies. Laura and Adam have produced a summary of their full report which is now available on the MLA South West website. The full report will be published shortly. The recommendations from the report are now being turned into an action plan with assistance from a steering group which includes representatives from community groups and other agencies such as the Arts Council and Culture South West as well as museums, libraries and archives. It is anticipated that the Action Plan will be published in the summer.
