& Community Drumming Groups, Kaago Masque Dancers, Blue Hour:
Eclectic Irish & North American Sounds, Reg Hendricke's Black
British Jazz Special, Gizmo, Respond & Raising The Roof and
Centre of Creativity Performances by children & young people.
Storytelling and community theatre by Ubuntu Theatre Collective,
face & body paining by Turkish artist Huma Birgul, 4 DJ's
playing Soul, Funk, Reggae, House & Hard House. Great
African/Caribbean food, world cinema in the Gritti Palace
featuring the films: Sankofa & Whale Rider. Multi cultural
stalls and Hastings Pier transformed into an extraordinary Art
Exhibition with a stunning light & laser installation.
Mo Gibson, who builds Lasers for Art & Industry (Halo Engineers
Ltd.) told us: "The green laser web can be seen all the way from
France and if we are lucky with the weather, they will respond
with blue laser. Creative & cultural diverse communication in
action. Just don't miss the spectacle!"
The Free Festival Fun is an excellent way to celebrate Black
History Month, come & enjoy and if you want to get involved,
please be in touch. We welcome all individuals & organisation
that wish to contribute and be featured in the 2000 free
programs that are distributed with the free wrist band tickets
available on the door. Stalls are available from as little as
£10.00.
