The April Bring A Dish featured
Dr Wottrich, 'Spoken Word' poet
With varied stylistic and lyrical influences, he
has created a unique style and point of view,
using poetry as a way of expressing aspects of
himself and his own interpretations of the world.
Through both comedy and satire, he finds that he can communicate
his opinions in a way that is fun and thought provoking.
As a result of performing in a range of
different venues, he adapts his delivery
endeavors to appeal to both adults and
children, and intend
on dispelling the myths of 'hip hop being noise'
and 'poetry being boring'.
______
No place for M.C.'s
I haven't had a hard life, these streets aint' that mean
I.. don't look outside at night and HATE what I see
But... sometimes this is kinda' tricky for me
Coz I'm well into hip hop, yeah I like to M.C.
I drop it from the top, n' try n' spit what I see
But... lately I've been having difficulties
coz' all I see are chip shops n' small village greens
The nearest to mis-conduct that I'VE ever seen
Is watchin' kids get mucked up on CIDER n' weed
N' drivin' in their Novas, ridin' well over speed
As they're Screamin' "PULL ME OVER" with no sign of the police
Without many exceptions, there's no end to the peace!
I think it's time to accept there ain't a place for M.C.'s
In quiet, well kept, quaint little places like these.
