Following her training in sand play as
well as counselling, child, adolescent & family psychotherapy Amal
actively builds cross-cultural and cross generational bridges over the
last 16 years. Having supported BME communities and networks in Hamburg
and Berlin (Germany), Birmingham and London (UK) her outstanding
achievements in dedication to promoting young BME talent, was honoured
with a nomination as "Best Black Business Women in Birmingham". Amal, of
dual heritage, is a married mother of 5, and one of 10 founding members
of CCDN. In Dec. 2005 she was elected as one of 6 Local Strategic
Partnership Representatives for the Hastings Community Network and she
now serves on the South St Leonards Area Management Board. “My name Amal
means 'Hopes and Inspiration' and as such I wish to communicate and help
develop and implement creative visions, fuelled by community cohesion
celebrations that help raise self esteem and a sense of belonging and
positive multi cultural identity. “
